How long does a roof replacement take?
Most homes take one to three days once materials are on site. Weather and the amount of rotted decking under the old shingles are what stretch it.
What should a good roof quote include?
Full tear-off, a per-sheet price for any decking that has to be replaced, ice-and-water shield at the eaves and valleys, new flashing, ventilation, cleanup, and the warranty terms in writing. If a quote is vague on any of those, ask before you sign.
Do you help with insurance claims after hail?
We will look at the roof, photograph the hail and wind damage, and give you those photos for your claim. The roofer handles the roofing side with your adjuster, since they hold the roofing contract. What your carrier pays is their call, and we will not tell you there is damage up there when there is not.
Can it be a repair instead of a replacement?
Often, yes. If the field shingles still have life and the trouble is a flashing joint, a valley, or a few wind-lifted courses, a repair is the honest call. When the mat is brittle, the granules are gone, or there are already two layers up there, a repair is money you spend twice. We tell you what we see, and the roofer confirms it when they quote.
Who warranties the roof?
The roofer does. Shingle manufacturers carry their own limited warranty on the material, and the roofing contractor puts their workmanship terms on the contract you sign with them. Work on our own scope, like siding or interior repair, follows the terms in our written contract.
