When a tree comes down on your house, the first job is making it safe and getting water out of the picture. We cut the tree off the structure in an order that keeps the rest of it from shifting, then tarp the roof before the next round of rain. Storm lines through this area put trees on roofs several times a year.
One call, one crew, and one contract that covers the removal, the tarp, and the debris. We photograph everything as we go and hand you documentation you can send to your insurance carrier. If the roof needs repair afterward we can do that too, instead of handing you another phone number.
What you should not do is get on the roof yourself or cut a limb that is holding a load. Trees under tension move in ways that are hard to predict.

How fast can you get here after a storm?
For a tree on a structure we aim for same day, often within a few hours. During a wide storm event when the whole metro calls at once we triage by danger, so a tree on a house comes before a tree lying in a yard. You get a real window on the phone instead of a maybe.
Do you tarp the roof?
Yes, as part of the emergency call. A properly fastened tarp buys weeks rather than days, which is usually enough time to get through the claim and get the repair scheduled. If the opening is too large for a tarp to do any good, we will say so and tell you what the temporary fix should be instead.
Can you document the damage for my claim?
Yes. We photograph the tree, the point of impact, the structure, and the interior damage before and during the work, and we write up what we found. Your carrier decides what it covers, and we will not tell you what they are going to pay.
Can you fix the roof after?
Yes. We do the roofing, framing, and interior repair ourselves, which is usually faster than handing the job to a second company. You get one scope for the emergency work and a separate written scope for the repair. If you would rather use someone else for the repair, the emergency work stands on its own.
What should I do while I wait?
Get everyone out of the rooms under the damage and stay off the roof. If the tree touched a power line, stay well away from it and call the utility first. Take photos from the ground for your own record, and move what you can out of the wet area only if it is safe to do so.
